How to get to Grenoble:

By train:

Train station: 1 Place de la Gare. Train tickets may be purchased here.

TGV to/from Paris (Gare de Lyon), or Paris Aéroport Roissy Charles de Gaulle (3 hours): several trains per day 

TER to/from Lyon (Gare Lyon Part-Dieu) (1 hour 25 minutes): 1 or 2 trains per hour.

By plane:

The closest airport is Lyon Saint Exupery. 

It takes one hour by bus from Grenoble train/bus station to Lyon Saint Exupery. There are 1 or 2 buses per hour from 4am to 11pm. Shuttle tickets can be bought last minute in the baggage claim area on a machine.

Bus companies: Flixbus or Blablacar. 

How to get to Institut Fourier:

From the train station, or the center of the city: take Tram B (for about 25 minutes) in the direction of Gières Plaine des Sports, and exit at Bibliothèque Universitaire. The website for local public transportation is here.
